Volunteers will play a very important part at the Vitality Netball World Cup 2019, with approximately 450 roles being created to help stage the event. The Vitality Netball World Cup will be a thrilling 10 days of action on a global scale, none of which would be possible without the help of our fantastic volunteers – the Pivoteers!

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Vitality Netball World Cup 2019. The application window has now closed. Please note, if any additional future opportunities to volunteer arise as the tournament planning progresses, these will be communicated here.

The Pivoteers will be as pivotal to the Vitality Netball World Cup 2019 as the pivot is to the game of netball. Welcoming the world to an inspiring celebration of netball in our incredible host city of Liverpool, they will support the world’s best netball teams in their quest for glory.

You can read our FAQs below to find out more. For successful applicants, the most up to date information will be made available via your account on the Rosterfy volunteer portal.

Volunteering FAQs

When will I hear if my application has been successful?

All applicants were advised of their role status by mid-December 2018.

We will keep a reserve list of people who have not been successful in the first round of applications but wish to hear more on any additional opportunities that become available as the event planning continues.

Can I buy tickets and apply to volunteer?

We understand that people may wish to attend the event as a spectator as well as volunteer. As part of the process you will be able to submit your availability to volunteer.

Will you be providing uniform for volunteers?

Volunteers will be provided with a uniform suitable for performing your role.

Will food be provided for volunteers?

We will provide one meal per shift for volunteers.

Will you be providing accommodation/travel for volunteers?

We welcome applications from people based in all areas but we are unable to offer accommodation and/or travel expenses for any of our volunteers.

How many volunteer shifts would I be required to commit to?

We will be asking volunteers to commit to between six and eight shifts (a shift is a maximum of eight hours).

Will volunteers receive training?

Yes, training will be provided. Successful applicants will be expected to attend one mandatory training session in June 2019 where critical event, venue and role information will be shared. Dates and times will be confirmed to those who are successful in early 2019. We are unable to offer travel expenses for any of our volunteers to attend the training sessions.

Will there be roles for under-18s?

To volunteer in the majority of roles you will need to be 18 years old by 30 April 2019. There will be a limited number of roles available for under-18s through England Netball affiliated clubs and these will require permission from a parent/guardian.
