We know you have plenty of questions about the World Cup so we’ve put together this handy list of FAQs to help answer them.

The tournament

When does the tournament take place?

The Vitality Netball World Cup 2019 will take place from 12-21 July 2019. The competition schedule can be viewed here. To receive the latest news and information by email  Join Our Club.

Where is the event taking place?

The Vitality Netball World Cup 2019 is taking place at the ACC Liverpool, England, with the competition taking place in the M&S Bank Arena Liverpool (formerly known as the Echo Arena) on the site.  The iconic city of Liverpool will play host as we welcome the world for 10 thrilling days of competition.

Which teams will be taking part?

The full list of qualified teams and further information about the qualification process is available here.

How many games will be played per day/session?

There will be 60 matches played throughout the 10-day tournament, for the first four days of the competition (12-15 July), there will be two courts in the arena, with games being played simultaneously.

Which groups will go through to which semi-final?

At the current time, we are unable to predict where teams will play in the semi- finals.  We aim to be able to provide this information as soon as we have consulted with our broadcaster. We apologise that we are unable to confirm this at this time.

Will the event be televised?

Sky Sports and BBC have been confirmed as the UK broadcast partners for the Vitality Netball World Cup 2019. For more information on this please click here Broadcasters outside the UK are expected to be confirmed and announced by the International Netball Federation at a later date.

How do I purchase a fan package?

Fan packages will include tickets, accommodation, a merchandise voucher and a special fan experience event. Packages are available through our Official Travel Office partner, Gullivers Sports Travel and their appointed travel agents.

Fan packages are now on sale. For more information and to purchase please visit the Vitality Netball World Cup 2019 Travel website.

Fan packages are only available for a selection of teams and matches, due to the competition format and qualification process.

Coming to Liverpool

How do I get to Liverpool?

Liverpool has fantastic transport links and is easily reached from all parts of the UK and the rest of the world. With two international airports close by (Liverpool John Lennon and Manchester), frequent trains to London that take little over two hours, and a short 20 minute drive from the motorway, getting to Liverpool couldn’t be easier.

Where can I stay in Liverpool?

Liverpool has a wide range of hotels in the city and within close walking distance of our tournament venue at ACC Liverpool. You can find out more information about where to stay in Liverpool and things to do whilst you’re there on the Visit Liverpool website.

Gullivers Sports Travel are the Official Travel Office partner for Netball World Cup 2019 will be offering fan packages from April 2018.  In the meantime, you can Join Our Club to make sure you’re the first to find out more.

Volunteering

How can I become a volunteer at the event?

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Vitality Netball World Cup 2019. The application window has now closed. Please note, if any additional future opportunities to volunteer arise as the tournament planning progresses, these will be communicated on our Volunteers page.

For those who have submitted their application, the next steps and timeline will be communicated via the Rosterfy portal. If interviews are required for roles, these will be held through October and November, with offers of roles issued in November and December.
